Virginia Theatre Festival
Summer 2024
First Hand

For this musical revue, the performers provided their own garments for the show. A few of the performers brought in new items that needed some minor alterations that we took care of.

50 Years and Counting: A Musical Revue
Costume Designer: Sarah Bryan
Draper: Caroline Cook

For this production, we built Audrey II's finale look, two of Audrey's outfits, and the Ronette's sequin dresses including their tulle boas.
One of my first tasks of the summer was to scale down the Audrey II finale look to quarter-scale so the patterns could be digitally colored for custom fabric printing. The custom fabric did not arrive until the week before tech rehearsals and we had less than one work week to build the final fabric version.

For this production, we created six builds in total along with a lot of quick rigging alterations. I was given the opportunity to drape one of the six builds and was responsible for the character of Mrs. Jordan.
