Broken Voices was a remount of a previous piece by Barbara Allegra Verlezza. This number marked the final piece Barbara would oversee prior to retirement. After listening to her thoughts about the piece and how she felt about its original production, I really wanted to ensure that her final piece was everything she desired it to be. So taking inspiration from the original designs I changed the look to more closely reflect the artistic vision. It was clear to me that the costumes would need to be rebuilt from a different material. I draped a flowy cowl neckline tunic with an asymmetrical hem in a range of sizes to fit each dancer's needs.
